We worked on repairing the roof of the chicken coop that was caving in on itself. We had to use the tractor and chain to pull the outside wall out, then used a see-saw with weight on one end to push up the roof from the inside. From there, we slid in new 2×6 boards. We still have to take down the old wood pieces of the roof, because there is still too much weight on the roof, but at least the roof is back up. We don’t plan to have chickens and instead will use it to grow trees in pots in the chicken coop to keep them away from animals.

We finished phase 1 of landscaping the front. We had to bring in lots of rock and dirt and used existing steps found on the property to add additional walkways. Its not done, as we plan to add more walkways in the future.

We spent almost a day cutting down dead branches from the trees in front and piling them up in back. Eventually,we will rent a shredder to create mulch of all the dead tree branches we have been collecting into piles around the property. We also took down a small tree that was dying.

We painted as well, but are not finished and will hold off on posting pictures.
