Our hike last week was back to Ridgeline Open Space park, but this time we did the western section of the park.   We took Romeo with us and it was a 4.8 mile hike that we did in about 1 hour 40 minutes.

I created a new trail on Everytrail and Wikiloc (below). You can download this GPX file of the hike and open in Google Earth. It includes my heart rate.

EveryTrail – Find the best Hiking in Colorado Springs, Colorado

We did a hike last week in the morning on a system of trails in the Ridgeline Open Space park that is 10 minutes from the house. We took Romeo with us and it was a 4.7 mile hike that we did in about 1 hour 35 minutes. Great weather, although humid.

I created a new trail on Everytrail and Wikiloc (below). You can download this GPX file of the hike and open in Google Earth. It includes my heart rate.

Our last hike on July 4th was at our closest and one of our favorite places to hike, Dawson Butte Ranch Open Space.  It took us around 2 hours to do the main 5.2 mile loop.  We took Romeo with us.  The weather was hot, but fantastic.

Sue and I did a hike recently to Devils Head fire lookout tower. Links to the hike below.  We left around mid-morning and it took around 2 hours, including the putzing around at the top for photos. The weather was ideal and little wind at the summit.

Open in Google Earth, select the GPS log (Climb or Descent) in the Places menu, right click on it and select “Show Elevation Profile” You can toggle on the graph between elevation, speed and heart rate (only 2 will plot at same time).
