As an investor, it is critical to always seek non-confirming views (anti-confirmation bias). It is easy for us to pick the data we want to confirm our view and only listen to others that we agree with (echo chambers). Actively seek out and listen to those that do not hold your views. The way to tell if they might be right is if they are using reliable data to support their views. Most of the time, I quickly discount non-confirming views because the data they use to backup their position is wrong. But when it is not wrong, then you need to pay special attention.
